A 31-year-old Philadelphia police officer has died from injuries he sustained in a line-of-duty shooting more than 2 months ago, Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker announced on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Officer Jaime Roman had been in a coma at Temple University Hospital following a shooting on July 22, 2024. He passed away in the hospital just after 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 10, according to the Mayor. A 39-year-old woman was shot in the leg during a fight inside an auto body shop in Philadelphia, authorities said.
