PA Farming Community Rallies For Family For Massive Barn, House Fire
The Chester County farming community is rallying behind their neighbor after a massive home and barn fire. The fire broke in the 100 block of Isabella Road in West Nantmeal Township around 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, as Daily Voice previously reported. The property next door is the Kurtz Fish Farm, owned by Shannon Kurtz. She's launched a GoFundMe for the Aumen family. Fire departments are on scene at a three-alarm barn fire in Berks County on Monday afternoon, Oct. 14, authorities told Daily Voice. First responders from Berks and Lancaster counties are responding to a three-alarm fire in a barn at 137 Goose Lane in Spring Township, a representative with the Spring Township Volunteer Fire Department confirmed. The representative was not at liberty to provide further details because crews were still on the scene fighting the blaze. Over 100 bales of hay and three pieces of farm equipment have been destroyed in a two-alarm fire, officials explained on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The fire broke on a farm in the 1500 block of Lime Valley Road in Strasburg Township At 5:33 a.m. a second alarm was rung at 5:56 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17. Firefighters arrived at the scene to find the barn fully engulfed in flames, by 8:30 a.m. nine tankers were at the scene.
