Schuylkill County Woman Dies 11 Days After Crash: Lehigh County Coroner An 82-year-old woman from Schuylkill County has died at a hospital in Allentown from critical injuries in a crash earlier this month, authorities announced on Monday, Sept. 23. Mary Frances Peiffer of Auburn died of blunt force injuries, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said. Peiffer was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, at 2:02 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, Buglio detailed in the release. Her cause of death was "complications of blunt force injuries due to motor vehicle collision," he wrote. The manner of death was ruled an accident. Peiffer was the driver of …

Amish Horse-Buggy Crash Closed PA 340: PennDOT A horse-and-buggy crash closed part of PA 340 in Lancaster County on Thursday evening, Sept. 19, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice.  The horse-and-buggy and vehicle collided at the intersection of PA 340 and School Lane Road in the Salisbury Township, Gap area around 6:30 p.m. The road was completely closed "due to the vehicle rolling over," Schreffler said. Teen Girl Stuck Farm Equipment Airlifted: PA State Police (Developing) An 18-year-old farm worker was airlifted on Monday, Sept. 16 after getting stuck in a corn binder machine, authorities said. The girl was injured on the 300 block of Wilson Mill Road in Lower Oxford, according to Pennsylvania State Police. She was in stable condition after getting stuck at about 11 a.m., Corporal Travis Hill of the Avondale Station said. Hill did not know what part of her got stuck in the machine. Bicyclist Struck In Lititz, Police Say A bicyclist was struck in Lititz on Tuesday, Aug. 20, the police announced at 2:56 p.m. that day.  The police were called to investigate the crash "involving a bicycle and a vehicle" around 11:21 a.m., as detailed in the release.  They learned a "bicyclist turned left at the intersection into the path of a vehicle traveling westbound resulting in a collision," police wrote in the release.  The crash happened at the intersection of East Sixth Street and Laurel Avenue in Lititz Borough.  No injuries were reported. There was also no word of any charges filed.
