Shyd Carr-Hanks, 19, from the 1200 block of East Price Street, was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 18, as a person of interest in the fatal shooting of 16-year-old William Honesty Jr., Philadelphia police said. A weapon was recovered during his arrest, officials noted.

$5K+ Check Stolen From Palisades School District: PA State Police
A $5,475 check belonging to the Palisades School District was stolen, altered, and cashed, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Monday, Dec. 9.
The theft occurred on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2024, at the district's location on Thomas Free Drive in Nockamixon Township, Bucks County, according to Trooper John Waida of PSP Dublin.
Troopers said the check was stolen from the mail, altered, and later cashed. The stolen amount totaled $5,475, the victim reported.
The investigation into the theft remains ongoing under Trooper Waida's oversight, state police said.

Kevin Siegel, 45, of Garnet Valley, was charged with 17 counts of Child Pornography on Friday, Nov. 15, according to court documents. Siegel was a counselor at Northley Middle School, 2801 Concord Road, Aston.

A student in an Allentown middle school filed a lawsuit claiming they were assaulted by guards, leading to severe injuries, the legal document states.
