Authorities have identified three people killed in three separate shootings across Philadelphia over the weekend. The 59-year-old woman killed in Kensington on Friday afternoon, June 28 was Gladys Rivera-Perez, city police said. Rivera-Perez was sitting on her porch when an argument broke out between "teenage females" on the 3400 block of Tampa Street, investigators believe. Mugshot Released Of Murder Suspect In Shooting That Rattled NJ Town
The mugshot of a 34-year-old murder suspect arrested in a New Jersey shooting that rattled a small town has been released. Anthony Garvin, of Netcong, was charged with murder and possession of a firearm and lodged in the Berks County Jail in Leesport, PA, a spokesperson for the Warren County Prosecutor's Office said following the Thursday, June 28 incident. Eleven members of a suspected drug trafficking organization are in custody, federal authorities say. The group, allegedly headed by 30-year-old Wilfredo Avila, is accused of running "significant quantities" of fentanyl and cocaine throughout Philadelphia's Kensington and Fairhill sections from February 2023 through this month. An Atlantic City man was convicted of killing a Philadelphia man at an apartment complex, authorities said.
