A man serving a life sentence following a murder conviction has had his conviction overturned, the Lebanon County District Attorney's Office announced on Thursday, Sept. 5. Eddie Williams, 50, of Lebanon, had been convicted of murder in the first degree, robbery, and numerous related offenses on Oct. 14, 2015, the DA explained. Suspect Stealing From Hotel Employee's Purse Stares At Security Camera: Bensalem Police
Bensalem police are investigating a theft that occurred at Extended Stay America. The theft occurred at about 3:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at the hotel located at 3216 Tillman Drive in Bensalem. An unknown black male entered the hotel's office and stole cash and credit cards from an employee's purse, police said. The suspect stared at a security camera while fleeing on foot in an unknown direction. A 29-year-old motorcyclist from Monroe County was killed in a collision with a tractor-trailer in Northampton County, authorities said. Pennsylvania State Police investigated 580 crashes over the four-day Labor Day weekend. From Friday, Aug. 30 to Monday, Sept. 2, those crashes resulted in 170 injuries and six deaths.
