64-Year-Old Man Dies In PA Rt 2083 Crash: Coroner A 64-year-old man was pronounced dead after a crash in Upper Saucon Township, the Lehigh County Coroner's Office announced on Monday, Nov. 25, 2024. The collision occurred in the 3200 block of Oakhurst Drive at 1:53 p.m., according to the release. The man, whose name has not been released, was operating a vehicle that collided with another motorist, officials said. The area was closed for several hours for the investigation and re-opened at 3:20 p.m., according to Upper Saucon Township Police. Drivers were initially advised to avoid the area. Storm Downs Power Lines, Closes Roads In Lehigh, Northampton Counties (Developing) Area police reported scattered outages as wind and rain pulled down power lines. Lower Saucon Township police reported that Lower Saucon Road was closed between Woodland Road and Woodland Hills Court due to a tree down on power wires. Upper Saucon Township police reported that Oakhurst Drive was closed between Stonesthrow Road and Old Bethlehem Pike due to utility lines across the roadway. The incidents were reported late morning on Friday, Aug. 9. Meanwhile, due to the severe weather, the Doylestown Township Administrative Offices closed at 2:30 p.m.
