PA Man Struck Dead On Christmas: Coroner A 75-year-old pedestrian, Edward D. Tomcics, was struck and killed by a motor vehicle on Christmas Day in Whitehall Township, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. The incident occurred at approximately 6:54 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024, in the 3200 block of Water Street, officials said. Tomcics was rushed to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, where he was pronounced dead at 7:32 p.m. An autopsy performed by the coroner revealed that Tomcics died from blunt force injuries sustained in the collision. Woman Dies After Fall From Golf Cart In Monroe County: Coroner A West Virginia woman died after falling from a golf cart in Middle Smithfield, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.  Brenna Abbinanti, 35, of Mount Clare, died from blunt-force trauma to the head on Friday, July 12, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg, officials said.  The accident happened a week earlier on Saturday morning, July 6, on the 6000 Block of Timothy Lake Road, according to the coroner. She was reportedly a passenger in the golf cart.  Pennsylvania State Police are investigating, the Coroner's Office added.

Gallagher, 33, was riding his motorcycle on Fullerton Avenue in Whitehall when he lost control and struck a curb, said the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.  He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg where he died from multiple traumatic injuries around 8:50 p.m., the Coroner said. His manner of death was ruled accidental.  In addition to the Coroner's Office, Whitehall police are investigating.
