Officer Struck By Suspected DUI Driver Near Eagles Playoff Game In South Philadelphia A Philadelphia police officer was injured after being struck by a vehicle near the South Philly Sports Complex during Sunday’s Eagles playoff game, authorities announced on Sunday, Jan. 19.  The crash occurred just before 6 p.m. on the 1000 block of Pattison Avenue as the Eagles faced the Rams in the NFL playoffs, police said. An officer with the Traffic Division was struck by a vehicle while stationed at her assigned traffic post, police said. 1 Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash On Platt Memorial Bridge: Philly Police One person is dead and two others are hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash in Philadelphia, police said. The crash happened on the Platt Memorial Bridge in the 6000 block of Penrose Avenue at 2:11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. A black 2024 BMW X4 was eastbound on the bridge when its driver lost control, flipping the vehicle over into the westbound lanes, police said.
