Pierson disappeared on April 14, 1981, after visiting a friend's house, Pennsylvania State Police and the Delaware County District Attorney's Office said in a joint release on Friday, Feb. 11. Her remains were discovered in July 1984 near the railroad tracks located at 7th and Market Streets in Marcus Hook. Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Amtrak Train In Delaware County A pedestrian was struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Delaware County Thursday afternoon, reports say. The person was reportedly killed just after 4 p.m. in Marcus Hook after they were struck by a train on its way from New York to New Orleans, Louisiana, Amtrak officials told Daily Voice. There were no reported injuries to the 117 passengers on board or crew members, officials said. Amtrak temporarily suspended service between Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware, 6abc says. The Amtrak Police Department is working with local law enforcement to investigate the incident.
