Driver Hospitalized After Crashing Into New Freedom Home: Firefighters (Photos) A driver was hospitalized after crashing into a home in New Freedom Borough late Tuesday night, Feb. 13, according to Rose Fire Company #1. Firefighters were called to the scene at North 2nd and West Main streets at 11:20 p.m., where they found a vehicle had veered off the road and slammed into a residence, the fire company said. Crews evacuated the home and checked for structural damage while MICU 58-2 transported the driver to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported. NWS Confirms Tornado Touched Down In Pennsylvania The National Weather Service at State College has confirmed a tornado touched in Harrisburg and traveled through the neighboring townships during Tropical Storm Debby on Friday, Aug. 9. The EF1 had estimated peak winds of 105 miles, it was 300 yards at its widest, and was on the ground for about 3 1/2 miles, according to the NWS release.  The tornado touched down near the Inclinator Company at 4:33 a.m. and took off again near the Pennsylvania State Police headquarters on Elmerton Avenue around 4:40 a.m., as detailed in the release.  The damage was as follows, as NWS explained: …
