Skimming Device Found On ATM At Sheetz In York County: Police
A skimming device was discovered on an ATM inside a Sheetz convenience store in Conewago Township, Northern York County Regional Police announced on Tuesday, Dec. 17. The device was found at the PNC Bank ATM located at 5235 Susquehanna Trail around 11:15 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, after a maintenance worker noticed it, according to police. Investigators say the suspects placed the skimming device on the machine earlier that day at approximately 9:50 a.m. It is unclear how many customers may have used the compromised ATM before it was discovered. An ATM skimming device was discovered at the Pennsylvania Central Credit Union on the 5100 block of Jonestown Road in Harrisburg, Lower Paxton police announced on Monday, Dec. 2. Officers responded to reports of suspicious activity at the credit union at approximately 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024. Following an investigation, authorities determined that a skimming device had been placed on the exterior ATM, police said. Skimmer Device Placed At Central PA Walmart, Police Seek Suspects
A skimming device was found at a Walmart in Carlisle, and police are asking for the public's help to identify two suspects, authorities announced on Tuesday, Nov. 19. The device was discovered by a loss prevention employee at the Walmart on 60 Noble Blvd., police said. Surveillance footage shows two male suspects placing the skimmer on a credit card machine at 1:11 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, according to Carlisle Police.
