A Jehovah's Witness member from Philadelphia has been convicted of sexually abusing of a young child in 1988, authorities said on Tuesday, Sept. 17 David Balosa, 62, was one of five defendants arrested in 2023, as previously reported by Daily Voice. Balosa was accused of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old child while staying with a family in his congregation, authorities previously said. Western PA Man Convicted For Fake 'Kidnapping For Drugs' Plot: DA
A McKean County man was convicted on Friday, Aug. 23 in a fake "kidnapping for drugs" plot, authorities said. Tuesday Hale, formerly of Bradford, was found guilty of crimes related to the staged kidnapping in August 2023, according to District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer. A 46-year-old Pennsylvania man was sentenced to 30 years in prison after he admitted to coercing a child to send him nude photos and videos and drove to meet her, authorities said.
