Community Mourns Passing Of Police Sgt. In Upper Southampton The Upper Southampton community is mourning the passing of retired Sgt. Jeffrey Delp on Wednesday, Aug. 14. He was 68 years old. He was formerly from Langhorne. After honorably serving his country as an Army MP, Sergeant, Delp joined the Upper Southampton Township Police Department in June 1979 as a patrol officer.  In January 1987, Delp was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, a position he held until his retirement in June 2011 after 32 years of service.  Viewing services will be held at the McGhee-Givinish Funeral Home (690 Belmont Ave. in Southampton) on Wednesday, Aug. 21, bet…

Stray Emu Found Wandering In Bucks County Newtown police are looking for the owner of an emu.  The large bird was found near Stoopville Road and Rosefield Drive late on Thursday, July 4, authorities said in a statement.  Anyone with information is asked to call 215-328-8524 so the emu can be returned home safely.

Jewelry Store Owners Gift Jersey Shore Family Business Of 60+ Years To Employees The longtime owners of an Atlantic County jewelry store have given their family business to a group of their employees. Harvey and Madalyn Rovinsky handed over the keys for Bernie Robbins Jewelers in Somers Point to five employees during a special ceremony on Tuesday, May 7, according to a news release. Their family had owned the jewelry store on New Road for 62 years before passing ownership on to the group.
