A 44-year-old purse-snatching suspect from Philadelphia was arrested after he allegedly pepper-sprayed his victim at a Bucks County motel, announced in a release on Monday, Sept. 16. A New Jersey man has been arrested in connection with a shooting at a Pennsylvania gentlemen's club that left an innocent bystander with critical injuries, authorities announced on Thursday evening, Aug. 29. Pedro E. Rodriguez, 27, of Trenton, NJ, was identified as the shooter, police had announced on Thursday morning, Aug. 28. Rodriguez and another man fled after the shooting at The Border at 440 S. Two people were killed in separate shootings overnight in Philadelphia, authorities said. Shortly after midnight on Monday, Aug. 26, Philadelphia Police responded to a shooting on the 2500 block of Kensington Avenue, in the 26th District. The 13-year-old girl who was shot dead in Harrisburg has been identified by her family GoFundMe staff told Daily Voice on Sunday, Aug. 11. A woman was killed and a man was injured when gunfire rang out in Tacony on Friday, July 19, Philadelphia police said in a release. Firefighters were at the scene of a three-alarm blaze in Easton on Friday, July 5. Forks Township fire officials said they were called to Lehigh and South 11th streets around 2 a.m. Dewey Fire Company said they assisted with suppression, search, overhaul, and cleanup and were at the site until 5 a.m. WFMZ reports the blaze spread to multiple apartments and said that one person was taken to the hospital. Bethlehem Shooting Sends Victim To Hospital In Critical Condition: Police
City police are investigating a shooting in Bethlehem early Sunday morning, June 23. Authorities said they were called to the 1300 block of Fritz Drive just after 4 a.m. Officers arrived to find an adult man with a gunshot wound to the body and he was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, BPD said. His condition has since stabilized. No arrests had been made as of Monday, June 24. One person has died after a crash involving a state police car early Friday morning, June 14. Troopers were driving south on Christopher Columbus Boulevard responding to a separate incident around 1:30 a.m., authorities said. An Allentown police officer was hospitalized after suffering a medical episode while trying to arrest a wanted person, officials said. Police said only that the officer suffered some sort of medical episode while attempting to apprehend the suspect around 12:45 p.m. Monday, June 10 on the 600 block of N. 9th Street.
