Senator Bob Casey has conceded the Pennsylvania U.S. Senate race to Dave McCormick, calling it one of the closest elections in the state's history. 7 Firefighters Injured When 2 Fire Tankers Crash In York: Officials (

Seven firefighters were injured when two tankers, from two different companies, collided on the way to a massive warehouse fire in South Central Pennsylvania on Friday night, according to separate releases issued the following morning, July 13. Tanker 37 with Laurel Fire Company #1, was involved in a “motor vehicle accident along with Tanker 8 of the Community Fire Company # 1 – York New Salem," as Chief David E. Rittenhouse stated in a release. Two members of his crew at Laurel Fire Company #1 were taken to Wellspan York Hospital but have since been discharged. …

Crews Battle Blaze In Allentown
First responders were called to an apartment building in Allentown for a three-alarm fire on Monday evening, July 8. The blaze broke out on the 1100 block of Hamilton Street around 5:30 p.m., said firefighters. Crews were still on the scene as late as 10:30 p.m., according to city fire officials. Photos from the scene showed heavy smoke and visible flames from a row building block containing apartments and businesses on the ground floor.
