Boy Bicyclist Hospitalized After Strike By Vehicle: Lititz Police
A teenage boy is in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle, Lititz Borough Police announced on Saturday, Aug. 24. The teen was riding his bike north on the sidewalk along PA Route 501 when he crossed over into East Lincoln Avenue right in front of a vehicle that was traveling west on the Avenue, "resulting in a collision," police explained in the release. Teen Girl Struck Dead In Lancaster, Coroner Says
A 15-year-old girl was found dead on the side of the road on Monday morning, Aug. 5 the Lancaster County Coroner Eric Bieber announced. The coroner had been called to a pedestrian struck at 1420 Beaver Valley Pike in Strasburg Township at 3:28 a.m., according to the release. The teenage girl was found by investigators and the coroner along the side of the road following the vehicle strike, as detailed in the release. A robbery victim shot at two teenage suspects in West Philadelphia on Saturday night, July 27, according to city police. The 26-year-old victim was on the 1200 block of North 41st Street when the suspects tried to rob him around 9:10 p.m., authorities said. A teenager was injured in a shooting at a Pottstown apartment complex on Tuesday, July 2, police said in a release. Officers responded to a fight involving teenage girls at the Bright Hope Community apartments on Myrtle Street at 7:30 p.m., said authorities. Five teenagers were taken into custody after a deadly crash in North Philadelphia on Tuesday night, May 28, city police say. Authorities said the teens were driving in a stolen Kia on Front Street when they struck a motorcyclist heading west on Hunting Park Avenue. The motorcyclist, 55-year-old Wilberto Casillas, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The five teens fled on foot and were later arrested, according to PPD. Charges are pending.
