Pottstown Man, 55, Pulled From NJ Inlet Dies, Two Swimmers Rescued: Police A Pennsylvania man died and two other swimmers were rescued on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. Avon-by-the-Sea police responded to a report of several swimmers in distress at the Washington Avenue beach at around 6:34 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, the department said in a news release. Rescue swimmers saved two people and brought them to shore. They were rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for evaluation. Child Hospitalized, Residents Rescued From York Rowhouse Fire: Chief A child was hospitalized following a row home fire in York County on Wednesday evening, Aug. 21, according to York Area United Fire and Rescue. The call to the two-alarm fire at the row home located at 525 South Albermarle Street in Spring Garden Township came in at 11:35 p.m. according to a release by the York Area United Fire and Rescue Fire Chief Daniel J. Firefighters Rescue Child In Car At Parking Lot Outside East Drumore Giant Quarryville firefighters rescued a child locked in a car Thursday, Aug. 15.  The company received the call to the child locked in a vehicle at 4:05 p.m. They were found locked in the SUV pictured in the parking lot outside of the Giant grocery store in East Drumore Township.  No injuries were reported. It is not immediately clear how the child ended up locked in the vehicle.  Check back here for possible updates.

Box Truck Flips On Side During Route 80 Crash: Officials (Photos) A Route 80 driver was trapped when their box truck flipped on Wednesday morning, July 17, according to first responders.  The crash happened in the westbound lanes of Rt 80 near mile marker 259.1 around 9:30 a.m., Hazle Township Fire and Rescue Company detailed in the release.
