A 41-year-old man is dead after his motor scooter struck a school bus in Philadelphia at 1:29 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, police said. The motor scooter was northbound on the sidewalk of North 2nd Street near Nedro Avenue when it struck a traffic control device, then a Dodge Journey that was parked along the street, and finally a school bus, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. The bus was stopped at the traffic light facing east on Nedro Avenue, police said. A former school bus aide with North Penn School District pleaded guilty to choking a 6-year-old special needs student, according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice. MacArthur Wilson, 72, of Lansdale, is free on bail and awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to Strangulation and Endangering the Welfare of Children on Wednesday, Oct. 16, updated court documents state. A 12-year-old student is in the hospital after the were struck by a passing car while crossing the street to get on the school bus, East Cocalico Township Police announced on Wednesday, Oct.23. A 75-year-old woman is in critical condition after being struck by a school bus on a Philadelphia street, police announced on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The woman was walking west on Chelten Avenue in the crosswalk at Chew Avenue at 3:01 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. A pick-up truck and its driver are being sought by Newville police following a hit-and-run with a school bus, according to a release on Thursday, Sept. 26. One suspect was arrested following a barricade situation in Horsham on Tuesday morning, June 11, authorities say. Police said they were called about a domestic dispute on Horseshoe Circle around 4:30 a.m. A woman fled her home and went to a neighbor's house, telling police she had been physically assaulted and threatened with a rifle, according to officials.
