The Department of Animal Protection from the Animal Rescue League of Berks County was performing a wellness check when they removed 22 dogs, three cats, five snakes, and two geckos were removed from a home in Womelsdorf on Wednesday, Oct. 9. 55+Animals Found In Lancaster County Freezer, 20+ Abandoned In Home, Trio Charged: DA Three Central Pennsylvania residents are wanted on felony animal cruelty charges after abandoning more than 20 animals and storing the bodies of more than 50 others in freezers, the Lancaster County District Attorney announced on Tuesday, Oct. 1.  Eric Werner, Jadden Moore, and Mary Good all of the 100 block of Falmouth Road of Conoy Township were each charged with aggravated animal cruelty, cruelty to animals, and five counts of neglect of animals.
