Storm Update: Water Rescues As Flooding, Downed Trees, Wires Close Roads In Eastern PA
Downed trees and power lines had closed roads after the storm in Eastern Pennsylvania on Wednesday, Aug. 7, authorities said. The remnants of now Tropical Storm Debby will move north along the eastern U.S. through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. Bucks County first responders reportedly made nine water rescues overnight after up to 5 inches of rain fell. Eight of the rescues were in Bristol Township and one was in Bristol, according to county spokesman James O'Malley.
