Traffic delays plagued Interstate 83 in York County after two crashes in the northbound lanes on Wednesday morning, Nov. 20. Garbage Truck Fire Shuts Down Northampton Roadway: Police
A garbage truck fire shut down a Northampton roadway on Monday, Oct. 28, police said. The 1000 block of Cressman Street in Plainfield Township was shut down so the Plainfield Township Fire Department could fight the blaze, according to the Slate Belt Regional Police Department. Interstate 95 has reopened in Philadelphia following a tractor trailer crash early Thursday, Aug. 8. Car Hit By Falling Tree On I-476 In Delco: Police
A tree fell on a car on Interstate 476, sending one person to the hospital on Thursday morning, July 18, according to state police. The driver of a Toyota Rav4 was seriously injured, troopers said. Two other cars were struck by debris but no one inside them was injured, authorities added. The crash happened in the westbound lanes of Rt 80 near mile marker 259.1 around 9:30 a.m., Hazle Township Fire and Rescue Company detailed in the release. Lower Moreland drivers are advised of upcoming roadwork to begin on July 1. PECO will be installing new underground gas pipes on Warminster Road, a project that's expected to wrap sometime in October, the utility company says.
