A school teacher was struck by, and pinned under a car at a Delaware County Catholic school on Monday, Nov. 18, according to reports. Amy Travers, a teacher at Saint Francis of Assisi School was struck by a vehicle while helping students in the car line at Saint Kevin Parish School, 200 West Sproul Road, Springfield Township, according to Facebook posts by both schools. A two-alarm fire destroyed a Catholic school in Springfield Township on Monday, Oct. 7, according to authorities. Multiple fire departments responded to the report of a fire on the second floor of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish School, located at 112 Saxer Avenue, the Springfield Fire Company said on its Facebook page. A Philadelphia woman has been charged with killing another teenager after running a red light and crashing a stolen vehicle in Montgomery County, authorities said. Asiyah Sara Mowatt-Mays, 18, was charged with homicide by vehicle, aggravated assault by vehicle, receiving stolen property and other charges related to the July 29 crash that killed a 15-year-old boy and injured two others, authorities said. Teen Killed, 3 Hurt In Montco Crash Involving Stolen Car: Authorities
A 15-year-old died and three others were hospitalized after a two-car crash in Springfield Township early Monday, July 29, authorities say. An eastbound Hyundai on Evergreen Avenue ran a red light at Stenton Avenue and collided with a northbound Infiniti around 5 a.m., police wrote in a release. Montco Baseball Coach Accused Of Trafficking Children In Pennsylvania, Alabama
An Oreland man is charged with sexual abuse and trafficking minors relating to at least four victims in Pennsylvania and Alabama, say Springfield Township police. Tyler Degiacomo, 33, is being held in lieu of a $500,00 bond, authorities said in a release. According to investigators, a parent reported their child sent Degiacomo explicit material on their cell phone in March 2024.
