Head-On Crash Kills Two Drivers In North Philadelphia: Police
Two men have died after a car crash in Philadelphia early Tuesday morning, June 25, city police say. Authorities said it happened around 1:40 a.m. A southbound sedan on North Broad Street collided head-on with a northbound Toyota Rav 4 near West Hunting Park Avenue, according to PPD. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. Neither man was identified but police said the driver of the Toyota was 46 years old. An investigation is ongoing.

Man In Wheelchair Badly Hurt In Hit-Run Crash In Philadelphia, Police Say
A man in a wheelchair was badly hurt after being hit by a runaway driver early Friday, June 21, Philadelphia police say. The victim was struck near Vine and Franklin streets minutes after midnight, authorities said in a release. The striking vehicle was westbound from the Vine Street bridge when it hit the victim in the middle of the roadway, according to investigators. Police Name ATV Rider Killed In Philadelphia Crash
Authorities have identified the ATV rider who died in a North Philadelphia wreck on Thursday night, June 13. Michael Anthony Pembleton was headed south on Broad Street when his ATV hit the passenger side of a Subaru near Westmoreland Street, PPD said. Pembleton, 35, was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead around 9 p.m., city police said. The driver of the Subaru remained on the scene and no arrests have been made, officials said. An investigation is underway.

A man was robbed of $35,000 early Thursday morning, June 13, city police say. The victim, a store owner, was driving near Oregon Avenue and 19th Street when a blue Chevrolet pickup truck "tapped the rear of his car," authorities said. A man wearing gloves and a mask walked into a Chinese restaurant in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood and shot a 27-year-old dead, according to city police. Authorities said Joel Colon-Cruz was inside a restaurant on the 700 block of East Ontario Street around 11 p.m. Monday, June 10. An argument between two groups in Philadelphia last month led to the shooting death of an uninvolved woman, according to city police. Authorities said it happened around 4:45 p.m. on May 11, when three men were walking on the 4700 block of North Broad Street. Detectives are looking for two men who stole an ATM from outside a Philadelphia gas station on Thursday morning, June 6. Police said it happened at a Karko on the 2300 block of Aramingo Avenue just before 4 a.m. The suspects backed a white Ford truck up to the storefront, loaded up the ATM, then fled south on Aramingo, authorities said. A Tacony man is in custody after an hour-long standoff on Tuesday, June 4, Philadelphia police told Daily Voice. Authorities said they were called to the 7100 block of Montague Street just before noon for a "neighbor dispute." They arrived to find a 65-year-old woman dead with gunshot wounds, police said.
