Sadie Sapp Charged For Stabbing Chester County Resident: PSP

A Maryland woman is facing attempted homicide charges after stabbing a Chester County resident on Wednesday, Nov. 13, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Sadie Sapp, 18, of Rising Sun, Maryland, stabbed an East Nottingham Township resident in the 2800 block of Forge Road, state police said in a news release. She then fled in a vehicle.

The victim was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, according to state police. No other details regarding the victim have been released.

An investigation by troopers from the Avondale Station Criminal Investigation Unit led to approval of attempted homicide charges by the Chester County District Attorney's Office, state police said.

Sapp was arrested by troopers at 7 p.m. on the same day, according to state police.

She was charged with: 

  • Attempted Homicide.
  • Aggravated Assault - Attempts to Cause Serious Bodily Injury.
  • Aggravated Assault - Attempts to Cause Bodily Injury with Deadly Weapon.
  • Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
  • Simple Assault (two counts).
  • Robbery - Inflict Serious Bodily Injury.
  • Theft by Unlawful Taking - Movable Property.

Sapp is being held in Chester County Prison, court documents state. Bail was not approved due to the nature of the charges against her. 

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 19, according to court documents.
