Philly-Area Musician 'Adored By All' Seriously Injured By Car, Fundraiser Says
A beloved musician throughout South Jersey and the greater Philadelphia area was badly injured when he was struck by a car, according to a fundraising campaign.
A GoFundMe page said Mark Yurkanin was rushed to Cooper University Hospital with serious injuries when he was hit on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Yurkanian lives in Collingswood, according to his Facebook profile.
The GoFundMe had raised more than $26,000 from at least 398 donations as of Friday, Dec. 20.

A gang member will serve up to 30 years in state prison for a 2023 double shooting in Allentown that left two victims seriously injured, the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office announced on Friday, Dec. 20.
Dimitrius Bashir Campbell, 24, of Allentown, pleaded guilty on Oct. 18, 2024, to attempted third-degree murder and conspiracy to commit homicide, both first-degree felonies, according to the DA.
At a sentencing hearing on Dec. 16, Campbell was ordered to serve 15 to 30 years behind bars by Judge Robert L. Steinberg.

An 81-year-old woman who died following a house fire in Catasauqua, has been identified, the Lehigh County announced on Friday, Dec. 20.
Kathryn E. Kubinsky, was pronounced dead at her home in the 600 block of Walnut Street at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. She was found in the living room of the residence, which had sustained damage from a fire incident, Buglio said in a release.
An autopsy conducted on Friday, Dec. 20, revealed that Kubinsky died from natural causes, experiencing a natural death event prior to the fire.

Police in York County are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 76-year-old woman who may be at special risk of harm.
Theresa Robinson, 76, was last seen around noon on Thursday, Dec. 19, near Innovation Drive in York, according to West Manchester Township police.
Robinson is described as a white female, five-foot-one, 100 pounds, with green eyes, gray hair, and glasses.
