Homicide: Woman Found Dead During Welfare Check, PA State Police A Philipsburg man has been charged with criminal homicide after police found a woman dead during a welfare check in Centre County, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Sunday, Oct. 26. Troopers were called to 703 North Front Street in Rush Township around 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, according to PSP Rockview. Inside the home, police said they discovered Dawn M. Death Investigation Underway In Bucks County Authorities are investigating a death in a Northampton Township home.  Police said they were called for a welfare check around 2 p.m. Sunday, June 16 and found a person dead inside a residence. Their identity is being withheld pending notification of family members, officials said.  In addition to Northampton police, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office is investigating.  "There is no danger to the community," police added.
