Elizabethtown Dad Killed In Mount Joy Motorcycle Crash: Coroner
A 28-year-old dad died at the scene of a motorcycle crash with an SUV early on Saturday morning, July 20, the Lancaster County Coroner's office announced in a release on Wednesday, July 24. Matthew D. "Matt" Ferruzza, originally of Hershey most recently of the 470 block of Rockwood Drive in Elizabethtown, was pronounced dead an hour after the collision at 12:50 a.m. on July 20, the coroner detailed in the release. A pedestrian has been charged after they were struck crossing a street in Lititz, police announced on July 10, 2024. On Independence Day, a man "entered the roadway into the path of an oncoming vehicle, traveling southbound on South Broad Street, resulting in a collision between the vehicle and the pedestrian," the police stated in the release. A 45-year-old Easton, PA man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Route 78 in New Jersey on Tuesday, July 2, authorities said. At 10:04 p.m., a BMW motorcycle traveling eastbound on Route 78 in Greenwich Township struck the back of a 2017 Toyota Camry, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, was ejected and was subsequently struck by a 2020 Toyota Camry, killing him, Marchan said. A driver was extricated from their car and sent to an area hospital after a multi-car accident in Feasterville on Wednesday, June 26. Feasterville fire officials said the crash happened on East Street Road near the ACME at 8 p.m. Crews were en route to the scene within a minute and were able to remove the driver from their vehicle, officials said. A Philadelphia man is in police custody for the May crash that killed Nya Janae Stokes, according to prosecutors. The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said 27-year-old Jabrial Terry had fentanyl, oxycodone, Benzodiazepines and cannabinoids in his system during the May 4 wreck. A Limerick motorcyclist was severely injured in a crash with a minivan in Upper Providence on Monday, June 3, township police say.
