Connor Koontz, 18, of Fleetwood, was pronounced dead at Reading Hospital at 1:12 a.m. following a crash in Richmond Township, according to Berks County Coroner Matthew J. Tractor-Trailer Rollover Cause Closure At PA Turnpike Ramp In Lancaster A tractor-trailer rollover crash has caused a closure at the on-ramp for the Pennsylvania Turnpike/Interstate 76, officials said.  The tractor-trailer flipped at Colonel Howard Boulevard in the eastbound lanes leading to the PA Turnpike/I-76 entrance from Route 222 around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, according to East Cocalico Township police and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.  "Both lanes will be closed for approximately 1-2 hours," the police wrote in a release. Water Balloons Thrown From Bridge Damage Cars On Rt 222: Ephrata Police Cars were damaged after items thought to be water balloons were thrown from an overpass, Ephrata police announced on Friday, Aug. 2.  Two vehicles were heading north on Route 222 when they were struck by the falling items at the East Mohler Church Road overpass, around midnight on Aug, 1. "One vehicle sustained a large dent to the hood, and the other sustained a cracked windshield," the police stated in the release.  Anyone with additional information about this incident is asked to contact Officer Martin with the Ephrata Police Department.

Berks Pair Charged In Route 222 Road Rage Shooting Two men were arrested this week for the apparent road rage shooting on Route 222, said Wyomissing police in a release.  Luis Alejandro Rosado Colon, 24, and Alejandro Perez Rodriguez, 23, were taken into custody on Tuesday, July 9, according to authorities. A car was shot at around 1 p.m. on July 1 near the Berkshire Mall, police said previously.
