A new study reveals which US airlines lose luggage most often, and one of the nation's largest carriers ranks at the very top. Boutique Hotel Hub has released a study of the airlines that mishandle the most luggage. The booking website analyzed Department of Transportation data on luggage, wheelchairs, and scooters handled by airlines between 2021 and 2024. Federal aviation officials are taking urgent action to prevent future midair collisions after a catastrophic crash between an American Airlines passenger jet and a US Army helicopter over the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).
