Woman Hurt, Child Critical After Northeast Philadelphia Crash: Police A woman and her young child were hospitalized Tuesday evening, June 25 when a car struck them as they crossed the street, said Philadelphia police.  The pair were crossing Bridge Street at Summerdale Avenue when a 2002 Toyota Highlander turned left onto the road and hit them, PPD said.  Authorities were called to the scene just after 6 p.m.  Both victims were taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where the woman, 26, is in stable condition. Patrol Car Strikes 5-Year-Old Girl, Philadelphia Police Say A child was hospitalized after being struck by a police car in Southwest Philadelphia on Tuesday night, June 4, authorities say.  A patrol officer hit a 5-year-old girl on the 1600 block of South Ithan Street just before 7:30 p.m., PPD said. She was taken to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and is reportedly in stable condition.  No one else was injured and the crash is under investigation, police said.

Bus Hits Pedestrian In North Philadelphia: SEPTA One person was hospitalized after being struck by a bus in Philadelphia's Hunting Park on Monday night, May 27.  SEPTA said it happened near the corner of 13th Street and Erie Avenue around 9 p.m. The pedestrian was hit by the left side mirror of a Route 56 bus, according to transit officials.  "The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition, however, the injuries are reported to be non-life threatening," a spokesperson said.  No one on the bus was injured, they added.
