A former Penn State professor accused of repeatedly raping his dog in a state forest has learned his fate in court, according to newly filed documents.
Themis Matsoukas, 64, of State College, was sentenced on Wednesday, April 22, in Huntingdon County Court, records show.
He pleaded guilty to open lewdness and indecent exposure, and was found guilty of sexual intercourse with an animal, according to the court summary.
For the animal-related charge, Matsoukas was sentenced to a term of confinement of one to four months in a county correctional facility, court records state.

Anthony Benito Cottone, 76, Pleasant Unity, allegedly removed his clothing from the waist down and began touching himself outside the Target on Route 30 on Monday, Oct. 13, according to the release.

A Maryland man is accused of swimming naked in an Ephrata creek, exposing himself to people attending a nearby event, police announced on Friday, Aug. 16.
Scott Hale Stegman, 63, of Reisterstown, MD, was arrested after officers responded to the 300 block of Cocalico Street at 7:41 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12, according to the Ephrata Police Department.
Police determined that Stegman was swimming without clothing in a creek when his actions resulted in him exposing his buttocks to patrons of a locally held event, authorities said.
