12-Year-Old Boy Killed As Flames Engulf North Philadelphia Home A 12-year-old boy was killed after flames consumed a home in North Philadelphia on Friday, Aug. 15, sources told Daily Voice. The fire broke out around 5 p.m. on the 1900 block of North 25th Street, according to witnesses and radio broadcasts. Crews arrived to find heavy fire coming from the home. The child was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, sources said. No official statement has been released. This is a developing story.
