Red Paint Smeared Across Jewish History Museum In PA Sparks Hate Crime Charges For NJ Man
A man turned himself in after red spray paint was found smeared across the exterior of Philadelphia's Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History in two separate incidents, authorities announced on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Leroy Hayes of Woodbury, NJ, surrendered to Central Detectives on Monday, Sept. 8, police said.
He has been charged with Ethnic Intimidation, Criminal Mischief, and Possessing an Instrument of Crime (PIC).
