Horse Rescued From Manure Pit In Lancaster County After Fire Company’s Training Pays Off A horse was rescued from a manure pit in Lancaster County on Monday, July 7, the Robert Fulton Fire Company announced. Firefighters were dispatched to the 200 block of Cedar Hill Road in Little Britain Township at 8:20 a.m. for a report of a horse trapped in the pit. Engine 89-2, Brush 89, and Squad 89 responded, according to the fire company. Personnel used rescue slings and a crane truck to lift the horse out. Gas Leak Under Investigation In Doylestown: Officials (Updated) Crews are at the scene of a reported gas leak in Doylestown, borough police said Wednesday, July 10.  The leak happened in the Doylestown Hunt Estates housing development just before noon, according to authorities.  Steeplechase Drive is closed from South Main Street to Birdsong Way while police and firefighters investigate, they added.  UPDATE: PECO crews are on the scene repairing the issue and Steeplechase Drive is back open for through traffic, police said Wednesday afternoon.
