Helmeted Cyclist Killed In SUV Crash Turning Onto Berks Road
A 78-year-old bicyclist has died after an SUV turned into his path in Berks County, the coroner announced on Saturday, June 27. John Barton Renninger, of the first block of East Summit Street in Mohnton Borough, was riding his bicycle eastbound on Revere Boulevard (Route 724) in Spring Township shortly before 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 26, when a westbound SUV attempted to make a left turn onto Cloister Court and struck him, Berks County Coroner Matthew J. Bicyclist Struck, Seriously Injured On Harrisburg Pike: Police
A bicyclist was seriously injured after a sedan struck him on Harrisburg Pike in Lancaster, East Hempfield Township police announced on Monday, Aug. 18. The crash happened near Jasmine Lane at 4:01 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, according to police. Initial reports indicated that a westbound sedan on Harrisburg Pike struck a bicyclist traveling east along the roadway’s shoulder. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the sedan was also taken to the hospital for minor injuries, police said. Bicyclist Struck In Lititz, Police Say
A bicyclist was struck in Lititz on Tuesday, Aug. 20, the police announced at 2:56 p.m. that day. The police were called to investigate the crash "involving a bicycle and a vehicle" around 11:21 a.m., as detailed in the release. They learned a "bicyclist turned left at the intersection into the path of a vehicle traveling westbound resulting in a collision," police wrote in the release. The crash happened at the intersection of East Sixth Street and Laurel Avenue in Lititz Borough. No injuries were reported. There was also no word of any charges filed.

Hit-Run Badly Injures Bicyclist In Palmer Township: Police
A driver fled the scene of an accident that left a bicyclist with serious injuries, said Palmer police. The victim was struck on South Greenwood Avenue below Charlotte Avenue around 10 p.m. on Tuesday night, July 16, according to authorities. No vehicle description was given. : Bicyclist Struck By SUV In Lititz, Police Say
A bicyclist was the victim of a hit-and-run on Tuesday, June 4, the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police said. NLCRPD Officers were called to the scene of the hit-and-run at Woodcrest Avenue and Millport Road in the area of Rohrer's Quarry in Lititz sometime before 10:30 a.m., department officials detailed in the release.
