Man Stabbed To Death Walking Home From Work Identified: Berks County Coroner
A man who was fatally stabbed while walking home from work has been identified, the authorities announced on Friday, May 15.
Leonardo Antonio Mercado Gomez, 56, of Reading, ,was pronounced dead at 3:04 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, at Tower Health/Reading Hospital after suffering multiple stab wounds, according to Berks County Coroner Matthew J. Stitzel.
The Coroner’s Office was notified by emergency department physicians at 3:07 p.m., authorities said.

A fatal crash has claimed the life of a teenager, authorities announced on Monday, April 20.
Connor Koontz, 18, of Fleetwood, was pronounced dead at Reading Hospital at 1:12 a.m. following a crash in Richmond Township, according to Berks County Coroner Matthew J. Stitzel.
The collision happened around 5:54 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, along Route 222 (Kutztown Road) near Schuler Road, the coroner’s office said.
