A mother of four from New Jersey was found dead in a dumpster in Coopersburg, Pennsylvania, in what authorities have ruled a homicide, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office announced Monday, Jan. 13.

Lucrecia Elizabeth Jadan Sumba, 39, of Elizabeth, NJ, was discovered in the 200 block of South 3rd Street on Saturday, Jan. 11, at 5:55 p.m., according to Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. An autopsy completed Monday revealed she died from sharp force injuries.

Missing Man Found Dead In Pennsylvania Quarry: Coroner
A man reported missing in late November was found dead in the water of an underground quarry in Slatington, authorities announced on Thursday, Jan. 2.
Jesse James Rutt, 41, was discovered in the quarry on the 300 block of East Church Street and pronounced dead at 11:34 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 30, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
Rutt had last been seen on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024, in the Slatington/Walnutport area, wearing a gray jacket and jeans, police said. Known for traveling on foot, he was reported missing after he left home without his wallet or identification.

PA Man Found Dead In River By Dog Walker, Coroner Says
A 34-year-old man from Emmaus was found dead in Jordan Creek in Allentown, the Lehigh County Coroner's Office announced on Friday, Dec. 27.
Daniel Leibensperger, 34, was pronounced dead at 12:33 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 26, near the 1200 block of North 6th Street in Allentown, according to the coroner's office.
Leibensperger was reportedly found partly submerged in the creek by a passerby walking their dog, the coroner said.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 30, at the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Forensic Center to determine the cause and manner of death.

Woman ID'd In PA Fatal House Fire: Coroner
An 81-year-old woman who died following a house fire in Catasauqua, has been identified, the Lehigh County announced on Friday, Dec. 20.
Kathryn E. Kubinsky, was pronounced dead at her home in the 600 block of Walnut Street at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. She was found in the living room of the residence, which had sustained damage from a fire incident, Buglio said in a release.
An autopsy conducted on Friday, Dec. 20, revealed that Kubinsky died from natural causes, experiencing a natural death event prior to the fire.
