Elderly Man Struck Dead By Toyota RAV4 In South Philadelphia: Police A 73-year-old man was fatally struck by a Toyota RAV4 in South Philadelphia, police announced. The collision happened on the 3000 block of South 10th Street at 7:23 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. The victim was transported by Philadelphia Fire Department medics to Jefferson University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:12 p.m., authorities said. The driver remained at the scene as officers secured the area. The Crash Investigation Division continues to investigate.

The crash happened around 6:56 a.m. at the intersection of Huntingdon Street and Aramingo Avenue in the 26th District, police said. Fatal Crash: Philly Motorcyclist Killed In 3-Vehicle Collision, Police Say A 34-year-old motorcyclist was killed Tuesday, Sept. 10 in a three-vehicle collision in Philadelphia, authorities said. The fatal crash occurred at approximately 3 p.m. on Woodhaven Road (Route 63) near Thornton Road, Philadelphia police said. The male rider, who was not identified, was traveling eastbound, and collided with both a vehicle and a box truck, also traveling eastbound, police said. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead by Medic 20 at 3:19 p.m., they said. Woodhaven Road was closed in both directions during an investigation.
