Pair Allegedly Killed By Philly Murderer ID'd By York County Coroner
The pair allegedly killed by a convicted murderer has been identified by the York County Coroner, according to a release on Thursday, Oct. 10. Randy Zink, 66, and Tammy Quiel, 56, both of the 3200 block of Eastern Boulevard in Springettsbury Township were found dead at the home they shared with Rangel Vangas, 53, most recently of York but previously of Philadelphia, according to the coroner's updated release. A Lycoming County man has been arrested and charged with murder in the 2021 death of his girlfriend's 3-year-old son, authorities in Berks County announced on Thursday, Oct. 10. Elijah Matias, 23, of Cogan Station, is believed to have caused the boy's multiple internal and external injuries in various stages of healing found in an autopsy in January 2021, the DA's office said. A 64-year-old man who was killed in a motorcycle crash into a deer in Lehigh County has been identified as the first president of the South Side Motorcycle Club in Allentown, according to his obituary published by Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. Frederick R. A motorcyclist fatally struck a deer on Wednesday morning, Oct. 2, the Pennsylvania State Police said. Donald E. Guldin, 57, of Lower Macungie Township, was driving a 2022 Harley Davidson motorcycle in the area of State Route 100 near Windy Road in Lowhill Township, Lehigh County when he struck a deer at 5:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, according to the Pennsylvania State Police and the Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio. A 19-year-old man was killed in an ATV crash in Carbon County, authorities said. Joshua Beck of Penn Forest Township died as a result of the crash on Saturday, Aug. 24, according to Carbon County Coroner Mark K. Smith. Person Found Murdered Near PA High School, State Police Say
The person found dead near Hazleton Area High School last Wednesday, July 24 was the victim of a homicide, according to troopers. The victim was found in a search of the wooded area behind the school, state police said in a release on Tuesday, July 30. Their name and gender were not reported but authorities said they were "likely homeless residing in the area they were discovered." The victim died from blunt force trauma, officials added. A West Virginia woman died after falling from a golf cart in Middle Smithfield, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. Brenna Abbinanti, 35, of Mount Clare, died from blunt-force trauma to the head on Friday, July 12, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg, officials said. The accident happened a week earlier on Saturday morning, July 6, on the 6000 Block of Timothy Lake Road, according to the coroner. She was reportedly a passenger in the golf cart. 76-Year-Old Fatally Injured While Cutting Tree In Monroe County: Officials
A Somerset, New Jersey man was fatally struck by a falling tree branch in Middle Smithfield, according to authorities. David M. Feingold, 76, was cutting a tree on June 29 when a large branch fell and hit him, said the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. The accident happened on the 200 block of Melvin Lane, officials said. Feingold was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where he died from complications of blunt-force trauma to the head on Sunday, July 14, the Coroner's Office said. His death was ruled accidental.

Pedestrian Dies After Berks County Crash: Coroner
A pedestrian died from her injuries after being struck by a car in Hamburg, officials say. Alicia Barlip, 44, was hit near South Fourth Street and Pine Street on June 4, said the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. She was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Bethlehem where she died from blunt force trauma on Thursday, June 13, officials said. Her death was ruled accidental. Hamburg Borough Police Department and the Berks County District Attorney's Office are investigating.

Details have been released in the crash that killed a volunteer Bucks County firefighter over the weekend. Kay, 35, was the passenger in an unregistered Polaris side-by-side UTV that crashed in Hilltown early Sunday morning, June 2, the Bucks County Prosecutor's Office said.
