Newberry Twp. Fire Police Officer Brian Peek Struck Dead A volunteer fire police officer who was struck dead in the line of duty has been identified by the York County Coroner's office on Sunday, Aug. 18.  Brian Peek, 67, of Wilson Court, in Goldsboro, Newberry Township died after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Red Mill and Corn Hill roads in Newberry Township at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, according to the coroner's release and FEMA.  A coroner had been called to the intersection at 2:45 p.m. on Friday, as Daily Voice initially reported. Pick-Up Slams Into Newberry Township Home, Police Say A pick-up truck drove into the porch of a home in Newberry Township on Friday, Aug. 16, area police announced.  The crash happened in the area of Red Mill and Yocumtown roads in Newberry Township just before 12:30 p.m. Yocumtown Road is open but drivers are advised to use caution in the area. No injuries were reported.
