A Philadelphia man accused of a multi-state smash-and-grab spree spanning Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey has been arrested after allegedly burglarizing multiple outlet stores, stealing tens of thousands of dollars in merchandise, and driving a stolen car, authorities announced on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
Timothy Eugene Root, 58, was charged with felony burglary, felony theft, felony retail theft, misdemeanor criminal mischief, misdemeanor possession of an instrument of crime, and receiving stolen property, police said.

A Lebanon man is accused of breaking into the same business three times in a string of commercial burglaries, stealing hundreds in change and a weed-whacker, police announced.
Alberto Santiago-Pagan, 36, was identified as a suspect after Lebanon City Police investigated three break-ins in the area of 12th Street and Walnut Street on Jan. 25, Jan. 28, and Jan. 31, according to a release on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
