A deadly rollover crash on an icy stretch of Route 222 left one person dead and three others injured, West Earl Township police announced on Monday, Feb. 3. The crash occurred at mile marker 40.3 in the northbound lanes at approximately 10:20 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2, authorities said. Responding officers found a 2019 Jeep Wrangler overturned on its roof off the roadway. The vehicle was carrying five occupants, according to police. Goods Disposal Worker Injured In West Earl Township Crash: Police
A Goods Disposal worker was injured in an early-morning crash in West Earl Township, authorities announced on Monday, Dec. 9. The incident happened at 5:30 a.m. outside 225 South State Street, when a 34-year-old male worker had just stepped off a trash disposal truck to begin loading duties, according to the West Earl Township Police Department. He was struck by a 2015 GMC pickup truck, sustaining multiple injuries. The worker was transported to Lancaster General Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition, police said. An Amish great-grandfather caused the crash that ended his life, East Earl Township explained in a release on Wednesday, Aug. 28. Levi R. Stoltzfus, 81, of Narvon, was driving the buggy east at the intersection of Sheep Hill Road and Springville Road in East Earl Township when he "failed to stop for the stop sign at Springville Road (PA route 897)," police said.
