'Let It Burn Satan' PA Woman Yelled During Arson House Fire: Affidavit
Bizarre details about an arson were shared by police in court documents obtained by Daily Voice on Friday, Oct. 18. Leslie G. Truitt, the 100 block of East Chestnut of Ephrata, is accused of "placing belongings of a former resident in her bathtub and setting them on fire," the police stated in the release and Daily Voice reported. The 70-year-old woman has been charged with arson and cruelty to animals. An Amish barn had a blaze burning through it early Thursday morning, Oct. 10, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. The call to the fire at the farm located in the 5900 block of Meadville Road in Salisbury Township, Narvon came into LCWC at 3:24 a.m., according to the supervisor. The area of Meadeville and Red Hill roads were closed as fire crews battled the blaze. The barn stored hay, not animals, so no humans or animals were injured. A fire ripped through an RV and van in Lebanon County on Monday morning, Oct. 7, fire officials explained. The Neptune Fire Company was called to "a structure fire" in the 300 block of Eagles Peak Road at Eagle's Peak Campground in Millcreek Township at 5:13 a.m. Firefighters arrived to find an RV and van engulfed in flames. A car carrier caught fire on Route 283 on Monday morning, Sept. 30, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The call to fire came into the Dauphin County Department of Public Safety at 8:03 a.m. Fire crews responded to a tractor fire on Route 283 East at the Middletown Road Exit in Dauphin County Monday morning. There was a lane restriction in the area. The tractor of the car carry was hollowed out by the fire, as seen in PennDOT's 511PA traffic cameras. No injuries have been reported at the time of publishing.
