A 3-year-old boy from Chesterbrook died after he was pulled from a pond in Chester County on Labor Day, authorities said. The incident occurred at about 6:50 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 2 at Wilson Farm Park near Lee and Wilson roads in the Chesterbrook area of Tredyffrin Township. Police were called to the scene for reports of a missing child. An arrest warrant has been issued for a convicted sex offender who failed to register with Pennsylvania State Police, according to a release by the Erie County District Attorney's Office on Friday, Aug. 30. Russell Edward Mason, 44, failed to register as a sex offender, after he was convicted in March 2013 of raping a child and importuning a child in Dec. 2012, according to the PSP Megan's Law Sex Offender Registry. A 39-year-old woman was shot in the leg during a fight inside an auto body shop in Philadelphia, authorities said. At approximately 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 27, a shooting incident occurred inside Hollywood Collision Auto Body at 100 West Erie Avenue, police said. A Millville woman was accused of hopping a fence at a Bridgeton zoo and trying to pet a Bengal tiger, authorities said. Several sharks have been spotted off the coast of Cape May in recent weeks, according to reports. A shark was spotted near the beach in Cape May Point at around 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, 6abc Action News reported. One beachgoer said the shark was about six feet long.
