The victim, identified as 38-year-old Raymond Reigle of Sellersville, was pronounced dead at 5:21 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, at the scene near Kings Highway and Janes Lane, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. Reigle was the sole occupant of the vehicle, officials said.

An autopsy completed later on Dec. 2 determined that Reigle died from multiple injuries sustained in the crash and subsequent fire. The manner of death was ruled accidental, the coroner said.

Reigle, originally from Perkasie and a graduate of Pennridge High School, was driving a 2014 Toyota Sienna when the crash occurred at 4:19 a.m., Pennsylvania State Police in Fogelsville said. His vehicle veered off the road before striking a tree and catching fire.

The roadway was closed for several hours while investigators from the Pennsylvania State Police and the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office examined the scene. It reopened around 8:10 a.m.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
