Man Found Shot Multiple Times Later Dies: Harrisburg Police
A man was shot multiple times and eventually died of his wounds in Harrisburg on Saturday, Nov. 2, according to police. Darius Stukes, 34, was found injured from multiple gunshot wounds at 2:30 a.m. after officers were called to the area of Hunter and Nectarine streets for shots fired and a person down, the Harrisburg Bureau of Police said. Stukes did not survive his injuries, according to police. An investigation into the shooting is active and ongoing, police said. A 41-year-old Harrisburg man was convicted after he learned his girlfriend was leaving him so he poured boiling water over her while she was falling asleep, the Dauphin County District Attorney's Office announced Monday, Aug. 26. Three Arrested Amid Fireworks Show In Harrisburg: Officials
Three people were taken into custody and the fireworks show was called off during July 4 celebrations in Harrisburg, city officials said in a release. On three separate occasions during the show at Riverfront Park, police said they "noticed what they believed were weapons being carried in the crowd of people," said Mayor Wanda R.D. Williams in a statement. They fled when officers approached them, according to officials. A supposed attempt of "suicide by cop" left the Dauphin County District Attorney ruling that four Harrisburg Police officers were justified in shooting a cocaine dealer, according to a release on July 2, 2024. Bryan Keller Horton Jr., a 39 convicted felon drug dealer living in Harrisburg "made a series of aggressive movements indicating that he had a gun and was going to use it," when Harrisburg Bureau of Police officers tried to arrest him on June 22, 2024.
