Kevin Alting, 52, pleaded guilty to criminal attempt to commit trafficking in individuals, unlawful contact with a minor, and indecent assault of a minor under the age of 16 before Judge Scott Arthur Evans on Thursday, Oct. 10, according to the DA’s release.
"Under Pennsylvania Law, engaging in a commercial sex act with a minor is Human Trafficking," the DA noted.
Alting’s charges stem from crimes he committed in 2020 and 2021.

He groped two young girls "breasts, inner thighs, and buttocks, and exposed himself to the girls. He attempted to watch them change clothes in their bedrooms," the DA wrote. "He also offered one of his stepdaughters $40 in exchange for sexual favors, which she refused."

Alting will spend 3 to 12 months in prison with three years of probation, according to his court docket.
He also must register as a sex offender for the next 25 years, according to the DA.
Stacy Shalters, previously pleaded to felony endangering the welfare of children and simple assault for allowing Alting access to the girls. Details about her case weren't immediately available.
Trooper Tavin Davis of the Pennsylvania State Police, Lykens Barracks, investigated the cases involving Alting and Shalters. Senior Deputy District Attorney Erin Varley and the Dauphin County Human Trafficking Task Force prosecuted both cases.
