Woman Hurt, Child Critical After Northeast Philadelphia Crash: Police A woman and her young child were hospitalized Tuesday evening, June 25 when a car struck them as they crossed the street, said Philadelphia police.  The pair were crossing Bridge Street at Summerdale Avenue when a 2002 Toyota Highlander turned left onto the road and hit them, PPD said.  Authorities were called to the scene just after 6 p.m.  Both victims were taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where the woman, 26, is in stable condition. Montgomery was driving east along the 600 block of Godfrey Avenue, police told Daily Voice. His car lost control and veered off the road around 1 a.m. The firefighter was pronounced dead at the scene by PFD medics, authorities said. Head-On Crash Kills Two Drivers In North Philadelphia: Police Two men have died after a car crash in Philadelphia early Tuesday morning, June 25, city police say.  Authorities said it happened around 1:40 a.m. A southbound sedan on North Broad Street collided head-on with a northbound Toyota Rav 4 near West Hunting Park Avenue, according to PPD.  Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. Neither man was identified but police said the driver of the Toyota was 46 years old.  An investigation is ongoing.

59-Year-Old Driver Killed In Northeast Philadelphia Crash: Officials One man has died after crashing his car into a wall early Monday morning, June 17, according to Philadelphia police.  Authorities said the 59-year-old's 2007 Chevrolet lost control on the 1100 block of Welsh Road.  His car struck a wall then continued westbound on the sidewalk before coming to a rest in the roadway, police said. Police Chase In Carbon County Ends In Crash: State Police A police pursuit through Carbon County ended with a wreck that sent a 20-year-old driver to the hospital on Thursday, June 6, according to troopers.  State police said they tried to stop the driver on Route 248 in Franklin Township around 6:30 p.m. He fled for 10 miles before losing control of his car and striking a tree in Towamensing Township, authorities said.  The driver, a Lehighton resident, was air-lifted to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest with serious injuries. Fatal Crash Investigation Underway In Caernarvon Township, Police Say Investigators are now seeking witnesses to the deadly crash on Morgantown Road on Thursday morning, June 6.  At least one person died in a wreck between Elverson Road and Ranck Road on Route 10 around 8 a.m., authorities said previously. "We would like to talk to anyone that had witnessed the crash," said Caernarvon Police Chief Paul Stolz.  "Also if you had been driving on Morgantown Road between Elverson Road and Joanna Furnace and witnessed anything, please contact us."
