Student Struck By Car On Way To School In Mechanicsburg: Officials A student was hit by a car while crossing the street on their way to school in Mechanicsburg on Tuesday morning, March 11, officials said. The collision happened around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Williams Grove Road and Broad Street, the closest intersection to Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School, in a marked 25 mph zone, according to emergency dispatchers and Google Maps. Woman Assaulted At Mental Health Home: PA State Police A woman was assaulted at a mental health home in Middletown Township, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025. Troopers were called to the home on Elwyn Road at 7:27 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, where a 24-year-old woman from Ardmore reported that a man suspect had threatened her and forced her to perform a sexual act, police stated in the release.  The victim was given immediate medical care following the incident, investigators said. The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details have been released at this time.

Child Hospitalized, Residents Rescued From York Rowhouse Fire: Chief A child was hospitalized following a row home fire in York County on Wednesday evening, Aug. 21, according to York Area United Fire and Rescue.
